You can often start the same day. After a short intake and a check-in with our medical team, most people get their first dose that day or the next. Our admissions line is open day and night, so you can reach us whenever you are ready. And since Methadone does not require you to be in withdrawal first, you will not have to wait until you feel sick to begin.
You can get your dose Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with the last dose at 1:30 PM. Saturday hours are 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM if weekdays are tough to make.
Yes, and we keep it simple. We take transfers from any state-licensed program in Tarrant, Dallas, or Denton County. Bring your current dose and last dose date, and we work to keep you dosing with no gap.

Methadone is FDA-approved for both chronic pain and opioid use disorder. At our Hurst clinic, we use it for opioid use disorder. If you also experience chronic pain, your provider can coordinate with your pain specialist so both are handled together.

Methadone is considered an appropriate treatment option for opioid use disorder during pregnancy. Continuing treatment matters. Untreated opioid use disorder carries serious risks for both mother and baby. Our providers coordinate with your OB-GYN throughout your pregnancy and after delivery.
In the first few weeks: sweating, constipation, dry mouth, or drowsiness are common as your dose settles. These usually fade as your body adjusts. Less common: changes to sleep, weight, or menstrual cycle. Tell our medical team about anything new, and they may check your heart rhythm to be safe.
Take-home doses become available over time, as you make progress. Our medical team approves each step once it is safe, based on how you are doing and federal guidelines. Until then, you come in for your dose each day.
There is no set length. It depends on you, your history, and how your body responds to the medicine. Some people stay on it a year or more, others less. You and our medical team decide together, and you stay on it as long as it helps.
