You can usually receive your first Methadone dose at our Spring clinic the same day or the next day after intake. This happens once your medical team assesses you and approves. Our admissions team is available 24/7, and we work to schedule assessments as quickly as possible. Methadone can begin before withdrawal sets in, so you do not have to wait until you feel sick to start.
You can come in for your dose Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with the last dose beginning at 1:30 PM. Saturday hours are 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM if you cannot make weekdays.
Methadone is FDA-approved for both chronic pain and opioid use disorder. At our Spring clinic, we provide Methadone for opioid use disorder. If you also live with chronic pain, your medical provider can coordinate with your pain specialist so your pain and your recovery are managed together.

You can safely take Methadone during pregnancy. Methadone is a recommended treatment for opioid use disorder during pregnancy. Continuing care throughout supports the health of both you and your baby. Our medical providers coordinate with your OB-GYN through pregnancy and after delivery.
The first few weeks: sweating, constipation, dry mouth, or drowsiness are common as your dose settles. These usually fade. Less common: changes to sleep, weight, or menstrual cycle. Tell our team about anything new, and we monitor your heart health.
Counseling is part of every treatment plan at our Spring clinic, included at no extra cost. You meet with a counselor on a regular schedule, with additional sessions available as needed.

There is no set length. It depends on you, your past drug use, and how well your body adjusts to the medication.
