Getting This Far Is Already Progress

Outpatient rehab is a treatment plan that lives inside a normal week. You keep your job, stay home with your family, and meet your care team around it, in person or online.

You get the same clinical care a residential program offers: medical providers, counseling, psychiatry, and medication when it helps. What you skip is checking out of your life for a month while you recover.

You have carried this alone for a while now. Treatment takes that weight instead of adding to it, one appointment at a time, at a pace your provider sets with you. It is the lightest level of our Fort Worth drug rehab programs, with more structure available whenever you need it.

Your First Visit Happens Fast

You are usually seen the same day or the next, and the three-hour first visit ends with a plan you agree to.

Treatment Gets Underway

If medication is part of your plan, you can start on your first visit. Counseling follows your schedule.

About the Medication

The first question most people ask: what will it feel like?

When the dose is right, starting medication feels like a return to normalcy: not high, not numb, just steady enough that the cravings go quiet. That steadiness comes from medication matched to the addiction: Suboxone® (buprenorphine-naloxone) or Methadone for opioids and other options for alcohol, adjusted by your medical provider as you go.

Some patients want medication from day one, and some never use it. Both plans are respected here, and treatment works either way.

You can still work, drive, and think clearly

On a stable dose, medication does not fog your day. Most patients keep working, driving, and showing up as themselves.

Is Fort Worth Outpatient Rehab Right for You?

Check these against your last month, not your worst day:

You need help that fits around work, kids, and everything else.
You have thought of this for weeks or months.
You have a safe, stable place to sleep at night.
You are worn out from feeling like this every day.
You want to feel like yourself again.
You can see where this goes if nothing changes.

Our first job is matching you to the right level of care. If a more intensive option, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), fits better, we will say so.

Join a small group if you want one, to share or to listen.
Medication Options

Continued Care
Stay in treatment after a return to use; the plan changes and your place here stays.

Fort Worth Outpatient Rehab: Questions People Ask

Will I be judged?

There is nothing you can say that makes our team think less of you. Our Fort Worth outpatient rehab team has heard it all over the years, and our only job is helping you get better.

What is the difference between outpatient and IOP?

Standard outpatient is lighter, roughly one visit a week. An IOP is more intensive, about three sessions a week. Many people step down from IOP to weekly outpatient as they steady out.

Do I have to take medication?

Medication is one option here, never a requirement. If our providers think it can help, they explain exactly how and why, and the final decision always stays with you, at every step.

What if I am not sure I am bad enough for rehab?

If drugs or alcohol is costing you sleep, money, trust, or a job, that is enough reason to pick up the phone. Most of our patients never hit a dramatic rock bottom, and waiting for one only makes treatment harder.

Can I keep working?

Most of our patients keep working straight through treatment. Sessions at our Fort Worth outpatient rehab run mornings and evenings, which is the whole point of this level of care.

What if I continue to use?

You stay in the program. A return to use tells us the plan needs adjusting. It does not mean you failed. We adjust your treatment together and keep going, with no restart and no penalty.

Will my employer find out?

Everything here is confidential and protected by HIPAA, the federal health privacy law. We do not contact your employer, your family, or anyone else without your written permission on file.

What happens on my first visit?

Your first visit takes about three hours. You complete a short intake, meet a medical provider, and leave with a plan you built together, plus your first medication if you choose it and it is safe to start.
