Symetria Recovery’s Palos Heights location is designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Substance Use Treatment and Recovery by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, an independent licensee of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.*
Hours: Mon-Fri: 7AM-4:00PM, Sat: 8AM-10AM
For patients at Symetria Recovery®, everything begins with an assessment. Our counselors and medical staff take time to get to know each individual — and to look at more than just the addiction itself. Through this assessment process, we develop a customized treatment plan that caters to the unique needs of each patient.
Individualized treatment plans may include various therapies, including:
Hours: Mon-Fri: 5:30AM-3:00PM, Sat: 8AM-10AM
Studies repeatedly show Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) to be one of the best therapies for addiction. That’s why it’s a major part of our treatment plan. From Day One, medication is dispensed to patients with a physician’s direct guidance, eliminating opioid withdrawal symptoms and minimizing cravings. Because our Palos Heights facility is able to dispense the medication directly, you don’t have to worry about going to the pharmacy or dealing with medication copays. Commercial insurance plans cover many of the costs associated with treatment.
Hours: Tues/Wed/Fri: 9AM-12P
Through our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Symetria Recovery® makes it possible for patients to attend treatment while continuing their normal responsibilities, such as work, school and social events. Because you don’t have to check into our facility overnight or for days at a time, you can arrange therapies around your routines.
These programs are facilitated by master’s level, licensed clinicians using evidence-based curricula, including:
- Mindfulness-Based Sobriety
- Relapse Prevention Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Family Therapy
- Education & Aftercare Programs
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Hours: Mon-Fri: 7AM-4:00PM, Sat: 8AM-10AM
Symetria Recovery®’s unique outpatient model is so effective because it combines MAT best practices with a full suite of counseling support, including IOP group therapy, psychiatric services and related mental health care. More than that, it makes these treatments available locally, under one roof.
Hours: Tues: 4P-5P
Along with our other therapies, we offer Self Management and Recovery Training (SMART) support groups. In this program, skilled counselors help patients support each other while learning tools and skills for controlling addictive behavior. The counselors are all certified in SMART facilitation as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
*Blue Distinction Centers (BDC) met overall quality measures, developed with input from the medical community. A Local Blue Plan may require additional criteria for providers located in its own service area; for details, contact your Local Blue Plan. Blue Distinction Centers+ (BDC+) also met cost measures that address consumers’ need for affordable healthcare. Each provider’s cost of care is evaluated using data from its Local Blue Plan. Providers in CA, ID, NY, PA, and WA may lie in two Local Blue Plans’ areas, resulting in two evaluations for cost of care; and their own Local Blue Plans decide whether one or both cost of care evaluation(s) must meet BDC+ national criteria. National criteria for BDC and BDC+ are displayed on www.bcbs.com. Individual outcomes may vary. For details on a provider’s in-network status or your own policy’s coverage, contact your Local Blue Plan and ask your provider before making an appointment. Neither Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association nor any Blue Plans are responsible for non-covered charges or other losses or damages resulting from Blue Distinction or other provider finder information or care received from Blue Distinction or other providers.
