Join a small group led by a licensed counselor and talk honestly about where you are this week.
Step outside for fifteen minutes to reset and get some air.
Work on coping tools, planning, and communication, or meet one-on-one with your counselor.
Set goals for the next few days and head out by 12:15 PM.

An intensive outpatient program (IOP) combines structured group and individual counseling delivered in an outpatient setting. Our Naperville IOP program runs three days a week, so you can keep working through recovery.
Most patients are in the program for nine to twelve weeks, though care continues as long as you need it. Most inpatient programs cap at 30 days; our program does not.
Yes, that is the design. Our program runs in morning and evening blocks on weekdays only, so you can keep your shift, your route, your school schedule, or your hybrid work calendar.
You are not removed from treatment. The team is here to support you and adjust the plan based on how you are doing. Drug screens give the team clinical information they use to fine-tune your care.

Yes, many patients in the program also receive medications for opioid use disorder. Dosing happens at the same Cantera clinic where IOP runs, with one care team coordinating both.
Our IOP program is more intensive, meeting three days a week for nine hours of counseling. Standard outpatient is a weekly check-in. The program is for people who need closer support; outpatient is for steadier weeks.

After IOP, most patients shift to weekly counseling. Some stay in care for years; others reduce visits over time. Either way, your medical provider, counselor, and psychiatrist stay the same.
