“This place isn’t like rehab or other MAT programs that are medication factories. There are no long lines or crowded rooms. (Yet, they get you in right away). It’s really, truly one-on-one attention that makes you want to stay sober.”

“They offer so much more than other drug rehabs — methadone, Suboxone, IOP and therapy. And, they do it with kind encouragement versus forcing things down our throats.”

You're Not Alone
If you’ve tried treatment before, you know how hard it is to find people who know what they’re talking about and truly care.
There are Suboxone doctors, alcohol counselors, methadone nurses, addiction therapists, mental health psychiatrists and licensed social workers here to work with you one-on-one whenever you need and for however long you want.
Expect a warm welcome, no judgment and an addiction treatment team that cares more than any other treatment center you’ve tried before.
Come in to start the program you want right away (Suboxone, Methadone or IOP). From there, we’ll work together to get you any support you need to (finally) stay healthy.
Great, you’re in the right place. Symetria operates Suboxone clinics in Chicago that accept insurances like BCBS IL and intake new patients as quickly as possible – usually within 24 hours.
We offer additional treatments to tackle recreational drug use that is escalating or full-blown opiate addiction (including heroin, fentanyl or pain medications like Codeine, Vicodin, morphine, OxyContin and Percocet). We’ll talk about increasing your support if you need it and when you’re ready.
Study-after-study shows outpatient drug rehab is as effective as inpatient rehab in keeping patients healthy long-term.
In fact, Harvard statisticians found Symetria patients were 80% more likely to be sober 1-2 years later compared to other inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment Chicago centers.
Methadone is a life-saving medication for patients that have not been successful with Suboxone or for patients who have had success with methadone in the past. Methadone can also be a first-choice medication for those that also suffer from chronic pain.
But, you don’t have to commit to methadone before you come in. Unlike other drug addiction rehabs, our doctors offer all medication options. They can help you decide between FDA-approved Suboxone, methadone or Vivitrol, as well as off-label and dual-diagnosis medications. And, you can change medications if something is not working for you. You can start to feel better today without commitment.
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) has a few layers, but the core is group therapy. Most people aren’t excited by the idea of being in a group for therapy. Try it anyway. You’ll see for yourself why it works, even if you’ve tried group therapy before.
This Chicago IOP is NOT 12-step. While NA or AA meetings can be helpful, our IOP program is led by a Masters-level clinical therapist. You work through core issues like motivation, preventing negative thought patterns, relapse prevention and establishing or rebuilding healthy relationships. You also work through underlying issues like depression or anxiety. Groups are small and personal.
At Symetria, you have access to unlimited one-on-one therapy too. The private sessions ensure you get support whenever you need it and can help you work through sensitive issues you don’t feel comfortable talking about like trauma.
Come in for the medication. It’s a great first step. As you get to know (and trust) us, you’ll understand the value goes well above Suboxone or Methadone medications.
Right now you may not think you’ll ever feel happy again. You may not feel “ready.” But, you’ll be amazed at how much better life can be if you just keep showing up.
Symetria has six Chicago addiction treatment locations, so there’s a clinic near you now. This Lakeview location is in the city downtown in Cook County, located less than 1.5 miles northwest of Wrigley Field.
The Irving Park station on the L brown line is just 0.2 miles away (a 5-minute walk). Bus stop 5687 at Irving Park Road and Damen Avenue is across the street.
