What's Holding You Back?

Expect a warm welcome, no judgment and an addiction treatment team that cares more than any other treatment center you’ve tried before.

Come in to start the program you want right away (Vivitrol, Suboxone, Methadone or IOP). From there, we’ll work together to get you any support you need to (finally) stay healthy.

Great, you’re in the right place. Symetria operates Suboxone clinics in Chicago that accept insurances like BCBS IL and intake new patients as quickly as possible – usually within 24 hours.

We offer additional treatments to tackle recreational drug use that is escalating or full-blown opiate addiction (including heroin, fentanyl or pain medications like Codeine, Vicodin, morphine, OxyContin and Percocet). We’ll talk about increasing your support if you need it and when you’re ready.

Everyone’s situation is different in ways that impact the cost of treatment. Get personal cost answers by calling (888) 782-6966. There’s no commitment.

Most patients here use health insurance. The Chicago clinic can’t accept Medicaid (yet), but is in-network with private insurances like Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Illinois, Humana, United Healthcare / Optum and more.

Study-after-study shows outpatient treatment is as effective as inpatient treatment in keeping patients healthy long-term.

In fact, Harvard statisticians found Symetria patients specifically were 80% more likely to be sober 1-2 years later compared to other inpatient and outpatient treatment centers.

Vivitrol (Naltrexone)

  • Taken once a month (extended-release medication)
  • Taken by injection
  • Prevents cravings and relapse by blocking the brain’s opioid receptors
  • Requires waiting period from last opioid use to first dose
  • Does not give off a high
  • Non-addictive

Suboxone (Buprenophrine and Naloxone)

  • Taken as a daily dose
  • Taken orally (film or tablet placed under the tongue)
  • Eases withdrawal symptoms and cravings by occupying but not activating opioid receptors
  • Can be taken approximately 12+ hours after last opioid use
  • Does not give off a high
  • Contains Naloxone to prevent abuse

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) has a few layers, but the core is group therapy. Most people aren’t excited by the idea of being in a group for therapy. Try it anyway.  You’ll see for yourself why it works, even if you’ve tried group therapy before.

IOP here is NOT 12-step. While NA or AA meetings can be helpful, our IOP program is led by a Masters-level clinical therapist. You work through core issues like motivation, preventing negative thought patterns, relapse prevention and establishing or rebuilding healthy relationships. You also work though underlying issues like depression or anxiety. Groups are small and personal.

At Symetria, you have access to unlimited one-on-one therapy too. The private sessions ensure you get support whenever you need it and can help you work though sensitive issues you don’t feel comfortable talking about like trauma.

Fair enough. Come in for the medication. It’s a great first step. As you get to know (and trust) us, you’ll understand the value goes well above the medication.

Right now you may not think you’ll ever feel happy again. You may not feel “ready.” But, you’ll be amazed at how much better life can be if you just keep showing up.
