If you knew how warm and welcoming this clinic is and how much better you can feel, you’d come running in. They make the process comfortable.

The IOP counselors work with you and care about your treatment and your 100% recovery. I tried an IOP near me when I moved, but now  use public transport that takes two hours to get here. That’s how much I love this IOP program!!

This is the first time I had a plan with both medication and counseling. I feel supported and in charge of my treatment.

They are responsive with methadone dosing changes and concerns. They do a great job with counseling which was a first for me at a methadone clinic. I never had to wait. And, they never acted like I did something bad, even when I did use drugs.

Symetria has been amazing at every interaction. I’m a person first here, not a label. Appointments are on my schedule. I definitely recommend these Suboxone doctors.

Why Not Start Suboxone, Methadone, IOP or Rehab Today?

Great! You’re in the right place.

Unlike most Suboxone doctors, the pharmacy here is on-site to stop withdrawal symptoms right away and avoid issues with public pharmacies refusing to fill a Suboxone prescription.

As you get to know (and trust) us, you may find it comforting to know the therapy services are there too. But, you’re in control of your treatment here.

For now, the Chicago clinic is able to accept new Suboxone patients with appointments often within 24 hours.

Methadone is a life-saving medication for people who may not have been successful with Suboxone or who have had success with methadone in the past. The medication can also be a good choice for those that also suffer from chronic pain or need extra accountability.

But…you don’t have to commit to methadone before you come in. Unlike other methadone clinics, our doctors offer all medication options. They can help you decide between FDA-approved Suboxone, methadone or Vivitrol, as well as off-label and mental health medications. And, you can change medications if something is not working for you.

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) has a few layers, but the core is group therapy. Most people aren’t excited by the idea of being in a group for therapy. Try it anyway. You’ll see for yourself why it works, even if you’ve tried group therapy before.

This Chicago IOP is not 12-step. Our IOP program is led by a Masters-level clinical therapist. You work through core issues like motivation, preventing negative thought patterns, relapse prevention and establishing or rebuilding healthy relationships. You also work through underlying issues like depression or anxiety. Groups are small and personal.

At Symetria, you have access to unlimited one-on-one therapy too. The private sessions ensure you get support whenever you need it and can help you work through sensitive issues.

Monthly Vivitrol injections can be game-changing for alcohol issues.

The medication stabilizes the brain to eliminate alcohol cravings and overall calms the mental chaos of alcohol addiction. If alcohol is consumed while using Vivitrol, patients experience the hangover without feeling the high. This eliminates the short-term psychological reward and associates alcohol as an entirely negative experience.

There is genetic testing we often do upfront to gauge whether Vivitol is likely to be helpful for a specific person. Patients without an OPRM-1 gene mutation tend to respond better to Vivitrol treatment.

Overall, there is little downside to trying Vivitrol. The medication is non-addictive, covered by insurance and doesn’t require anything outside of a monthly doctor’s appointment.

Treatment here is in-network with insurance companies, which keeps your cost (if any) as low as possible.

This Chicago rehab clinic can’t accept Medicaid (yet), but is in-network with Medicare and nearly all private insurance companies including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Aetna, Cigna / Evernorth, Humana, Magellan, Multiplan, United Healthcare / Optum and many more. Generally, outpatient rehab is much more affordable than inpatient rehab or a hospital stay.
