Suboxone is a combination of the medications, buprenorphine and naloxone. It’s FDA-approved to treat opioid / heroin addiction — including heroin, fentanyl or pain medications like Codeine, Vicodin®, morphine, OxyContin and Percocet. Buprenorphine is a partial opioid that satisfies the brain’s craving for drugs. Naloxone is an opioid blocker used to prevent abuse.
Suboxone works to:
