Treatment Programs We Provide at Our Chicagoland Facilities
We find that a combination of medication and emotional coping tools are an essential part of the recovery process for those struggling with opiate addiction. Symetria Recovery® offers a full complement of opioid treatment medications as well as a wide variety of evidence-based addiction counseling, family support group meetings and therapy services, including the following:
All treatment at Symetria Recovery® begins with the assessment process. Because our Chicago opioid rehab centers take a 360-degree approach to treatment that focuses on the whole person, not just the addiction they are trying to overcome, we make an effort to know each patient’s particular concerns. We look at your overall health as well as your addiction, then use that knowledge to create a customized treatment plan that incorporates the best therapies for you. We treat every patient as an individual, tailoring treatments and objectives to their unique needs.
At Symetria Recovery®, patients are thoroughly assessed by both counseling and medical teams to identify the best course of treatment. Your personal treatment plan may include the following:
- Continuing Care
- Day Treatment
- Individual & Family Counseling
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Group Therapy
- Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
- Psychiatric Services
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Supervised by skilled physicians, Medication Assisted Treatment refers to the use of medication, in conjunction with behavioral therapies and counseling, to treat opioid addiction. As part of our opioid treatment at Symetria Recovery®, we incorporate MAT into our programs, providing medication directly to each patient. That means patients don’t have to worry about going to the pharmacy or covering medication copays. Prescribed drugs are dispensed directly at our facilities. As an additional benefit, most treatment costs are covered by insurance.
From Day One of treatment at Symetria Recovery®, all medication is administered by a physician. Medication fights cravings to help eliminate the symptoms of opioid withdrawal. Research has repeatedly shown that MAT, when used in combination with behavioral counseling, results in superior patient outcomes.
Depending on the patient’s needs, treatment may involve the use of the following medications:
- Suboxone® / Bunavail® / Zubsolv® (buprenorphine and naloxone)
- Subutex® (buprenorphine)
- Vivitrol® (naltrexone) Injection
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
Our centers all offer Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) that empower patients to receive treatment without the need to put jobs or family relationships on pause. During IOP, patients remain active in their communities even while recovering from addiction.
At Symetria Recovery®, master’s level licensed clinicians lead patients in all IOP Group Therapy sessions. We utilize evidence-based IOP services, including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Education & Aftercare Programs
- Family Therapy
- Mindfulness-Based Sobriety
- Relapse Prevention Therapy
Part of what makes Symetria Recovery® so effective is a cutting-edge approach to treatment that blends the benefits of MAT best practices with a suite of supplementary services including IOP Group Therapy, psychiatric treatment and other mental health care options — all delivered in an outpatient setting.
Each of our Chicagoland facilities offers outpatient addiction recovery services. This makes it easier for patients to access discreet yet comprehensive treatment. At Symetria Recovery®, patients can take the journey toward recovery without disrupting their careers, education or relationships.
SMART Recovery Meetings
Whether you receive treatment in Lakeview, Des Plaines or another Illinois location, you can expect to benefit from patient support, fellowship and 12 Step meetings. Symetria Recovery® offers Self Management and Recovery Training (SMART) support groups where patients share their experiences and develop the skills and tools they need to manage addictive behaviors.
All SMART support group meetings are led by trained counselors who are specifically certified in SMART facilitation, as well as in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) services.
Family Support Groups
One of the best parts of choosing a local facility is that you get the benefit of being able to involve family members in your healing. At Symetria Recovery®, we recognize that patients’ loved ones also need support. In addition to PATH meetings, we offer Friends & Family Support Groups that provide education and address issues such as what to expect during the recovery process, how to help the patient transition successfully, healthy coping skills and strategies, and ways to practice a healthier, more positive lifestyle. Through the information and connection shared in these groups, loved ones get a chance to aid the recovery process.
