SYMETRIA RECOVERY® CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER ABID K. NAZEER, M.D. AND PROGRAM DIRECTOR PETER MOTT TO PRESENT AT 2019 NAADAC ANNUAL CONFERENCE

CHICAGO, Tuesday, September 24, 2019 Symetria Recovery® announced today that two members of its leadership team will present at NAADAC’s 2019 Annual Conference: Navigating the Addiction Profession, to be held in Orlando, Florida. The six-day conference runs from Saturday, September 28 through Thursday, October 3 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld.

Abid K. Nazeer, M.D., Symetria Recovery’s chief medical officer, will lead a breakout session on the topic of “Co-occurring Disorders – Psychiatry and Substance Use,” from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 29. Dr. Nazeer will discuss the high prevalence rate of comorbidity between mental illness and substance use disorder (SUD), and how interactions between the illnesses affects the course and prognosis of both.

Peter Mott, MA, LCDC, ICPS, CDERT and program director for Symetria Recovery’s Jersey Village and Spring, Texas locations, is one of the conference’s featured speakers. He will participate in an afternoon keynote panel titled, “The Opioid Epidemic: A 360 View,” from 4:15 – 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 29. Mott will join three other leading addiction experts to give an overview of the opioid crisis and discuss appropriate pathways to treatment for long-term recovery. This presentation will also be part of the conference’s day-long plenary session on Saturday, September 28.
