Somatic Experiencing® (SE) A Body-Mind Approach to Healing Trauma & Increasing Resiliency
This workshop will focus on sharing information on the use of Dr. Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing® in the healing of traumatic stress. As therapists and healers we become engaged in helping our clients lessen their pain that we often forget the importance of working on our own well being. This workshop will introduce attendees to this powerful therapeutic method that is designed to heal traumatic stress not only in clients but also in our lives as the healer. Come join us for this educational and experiential workshop. Workshop Objectives include the following:
• Provide a basic overview of the physiological-focused approach of Somatic Experience®
• Explain how SE helps restore the natural self correcting, self-regulating mechanisms of the human nervous system
• Experiment with therapeutic techniques that assist in the treatment of trauma
Symetria Recovery is the pioneer and leader in complete, personalized, evidence-based recovery care through outpatient opioid, heroin, and alcohol (all substance use disorders) treatment committed to providing state-of-the-art, whole-person care, not just related to the substance misuse. Its unique approach to dependency is known as The Symetria Method. This method combines medication-assisted treatment (MAT), psychiatry, and support from a single treatment team of behavioral health, medical and psychiatric professionals to reduce the risk of relapse and give patients sustainable results. Symetria Recovery’s highly successful outcomes have been validated by an independent, retrospective analysis of more than 1.5 billion commercial claims from 3+ million Opioid Use Disorder patients for five years. The analysis demonstrates superior results on all metrics when compared with treatment as usual.
Drug use and public health statistics indicate that in the United States, approximately 90% of treatment recipients later relapse, or return to using opioids or heroin. In response to this staggering statistic, we developed a more effective continuum of care that covers the stages of recovery from detoxification, medical management, continued care and relapse prevention. By treating the whole patient, and not just the addictive behavior, we provide superior lasting recovery.
We are dedicated to fighting the national opioid addiction epidemic by improving treatment outcomes through the implementation of best practices in the coordination of patient care. Yes, more than 88% of patients quit opioids, for good.
